Lazy day, so dinner = heating up a pie in the microwave (yeah I know, bogan!) anyhoo reading the instructions, open 1 end of packet, cook for 3 1/2 min (I do it 2 mins then flip it for the rest) ... one of the instructions says "do not leave microwave unattended while cooking" umm, are they suggesting something bad may happen with their product?? and even more incase something happens I should be standing near the microwave (perhaps they prefer closely looking in the window) sorry, still gonna cook that puppy but for sure not hanging around to watch.

I don't like microwaved pies - the pastry is always soggy and unpleasant. Stuff it in a real oven for twenty minutes. Plus the major bonus: lack of risk of explosion / death / pie theft while microwaving.

I thought you were going to tell us about your adventures with 50 year old field rations, how to prepare fresh rattlesnakes or something like that.

I have lived with several Zen masters - all of them were cats. His last invention was an evil Lasagna. It didn't kill anyone, and it actually tasted pretty good.

Well it didn't explode, cooks in it's packet, was crispy (perhaps a tad too hard). a bit bland - lifted the lid and stirred in black pepper for that. microwave vs oven - well as said, being lazy. after the pie some fresh fruit... to get some real vitaminerals. then coffee, the brain needed feeding too.

Hah! fresh rattlesnakes have nothing on the risks posed by a Greggs Pie!

I'm in Singapore though, there are snakes (though quite rare, only seen a 3 wild ones and half a dozen road kills in 20 years). whales, not so much.

That must be because they all rattled for the last time when they were thrown into a stew pot.

Lovely things. They come in two sizes too! Many a Uni dinner came out of one of these tins .. and then the tin was repurposed as an ash tray - early up-cycling

On a similar note, there should be transparent toilet seats so that when you give your cat a bath you can watch and make sure that's it's done. Instructions to wash cat 1. Lift lid add soap 2. Add cat close lid 3. Wait a few minutes while cat thrashes around 4. Flush as many times as needed until cat is reasonably rinsed off. 6. Stand clear and open lid

so what have you tried lately?

I have lived with several Zen masters - all of them were cats. His last invention was an evil Lasagna. It didn't kill anyone, and it actually tasted pretty good.

My mother's cooking. :~:~ The only worst cooking I ever knew is my grandmother's... on the other branch of the family. But my mother routinely cooks stuuf that expired years ago. Record: pizza with self-raising flour expired 15 years before. It was hard as a diamond.
