I'm planning on taking a pink bus (www.rosabussarna.com - in swedish only) through either Africa or South America. It's one of those really long and adventerous trips that goes on forever (anywhere between 5 and 9 weeks depending on trip). A couple of the trips goes through Brazil. Where in Brazil were you going? Really!? What's the difference between wine and beer (other than everything). Or beer and liquer? I find it mind boggling that you can't buy strong beer while you can buy wine with +12% and vodka at +40%.

the NC law is really long. but, the 6% limit distinguishes "malt beverages" from other liquors. there are probably regulations that allow certian businesses to sell "malt beverages" but nothing stronger. i don't know what the real purpose of the law is, especially since a 45 minute drive to Virginia allows you to buy beer of any strength. in Utah, the limit is 3.2%. :( -c
