I do try and say things with the best intentions, people can take it or leave it :) Debs wrote: Mind you, I find I'm saying all those things to my kids that my parents used to say to me that I used to hate then but find oh so appropriate now. I used to hate it when I found myself saying them, these days it's like water off a duck's back. Even at my tender 23 years I am becoming aware of the rightness of things I thought were silly as a child. Part of growing up, it would be a strange and un-interesting world if us kids issued fatherly advice and did not rebel against it. :)

To quote Mark Twain (I think) "When I was a boy of fourteen, my father was so ignorant I could hardly stand to have the old man around. But when I got to be twenty-one, I was astonished at how much the old man had learned in seven years." Michael 'War is at best barbarism...Its glory is all moonshine. It is only those who have neither fired a shot nor heard the shrieks and groans of the wounded who cry aloud for blood, more vengeance, more desolation. War is hell.' - General William Sherman, 1879

OK OK, after the beer question and the breakfast question, there is one thing that I am really intrested in: What hobbies do CPians have (exept beeing a CPian of course ;) ...) ??? My main hobby is beeing a firefighter, and when I look at the time I spend on our station, it's more than a hobby.... Another thing is making videos (producing semi pro documentation like my wedding.. ) So, what do you do in your spare-time?

My spare time is spent contemplating life, the universe and everything - usually whilst laid on the sofa, eating junk and watching sports. ;-) Michael 'War is at best barbarism...Its glory is all moonshine. Afraid my hobby list is a bit pathetic :( Spent quite a while moving around, so used to spend most of my 'social' life using chat rooms, but I visit the real world a bit now. Hobbies at the moment: Music - mostly rock/metal, bit of goth and recently got "War of the Worlds" by Jeff Wayne after it was mentioned on CP  Going out - met a few people near me throuh the chat rooms, and there is a cool little pub in Crewe where you get a real mix of people who just get on with each other, and we end up talking about everything under the sun. Nominally a gay pub, some bouncers go there for a quiet drink and other people because its their local. Good mix of people, and you often end up chatting to whoever is sitting next to you  Gym - not a hobby, but I go three times a week now and feeling a lot better for it. Clubbing - soon, as the gym is paying off. Be making a complete fool of myself on the dancefloor soon  Elaine :rose: The tigress is here :-D

Olli Make it idiot proof and someone will make a better idiot......

You mean there's life outside CP?? In my spare time I program, and in my work hours I program, so my hobby is my work. What a sad, sad, thing it is.:(( ...Zack... Listened to that other track and it was superb, how you get your fingers to do that to the strings is beyond me. You put a lot of yourself into your tracks IMO, makes you more than just technically good.
