taskswitches, taskboxes

i'm not a developer but i try to ask for help here. i'm looking for any solution on change the built-in taskswitcher of windows. i know the stupid powertoy pack includes a taskswitcher but that one isn't working properly. the window snapshot is a good idea in it but it's slow. i tried enlightenment and found a few very useful things there (window metrics counter while resizing and moving windows, iconbox) --> i'm wondering is there any standalone taskbar replacement (like am productions' traymodule) which is similiar to enlightenment's iconbox. what about this windowmetrics counter? it's hard to believe there's nobody tried to port these functions to windoze. thank you for your attention, on
