Looks to make a sudden spontaneous connection for links among groups. (9, 8) Could solve it with sudden, but spontaneous is just better. Solution: groups = sets links = Relations. Spontaneous = Reflexive Connection = Relation. The hint's solution was Euler, who is a mathematician. The problem Reflexive Relation was related to Math. I initially wanted to find out who proposed this Reflexive property, but a quick search didn't yield any results and would've made the hint far too easy.

I think you will be up again on Monday :-D

No ideas at all - how's the picking going ?

Not bad - I'm not good enough to try it on next door yet, but ...

Abnormal Rule with direction (5) can help you find this relation.

LPL and BosnianBill make it look and sound so easy - I've only managed the practice padlock ( which I can do consistently ) not managed the double ( lock either side ) yet - good fun though

I've got a practice padlock and a practice door lock, and I can do the padlock pretty quickly, the door lock takes a bit longer. I've also got a practice disk detainer padlock that I can open in seconds (it's so badly made it opens with a tension lever or even a spoon handle...) I've also got a real Euro "double sided" lock that was the one in the back door until I changed it for a "thumb inside" version, and I've picked that twice. Can I get it the third time? Nope! I think it's a case of getting the "feel" of the lock right, and I'm still trying too hard I think. But LPL and BL do make it look so easy!

Are you saying it has something to do with Euhler ?

I'm saying he can literally help you, not that it has to do with him. Think about this, why would he be able to help you find the answer?

Looks to make a sudden spontaneous connection for links among groups. (9, 8) Could solve it with sudden, but spontaneous is just better. Solution: groups = sets links = Relations. Spontaneous = Reflexive Connection = Relation. The hint's solution was Euler, who is a mathematician. The problem Reflexive Relation was related to Math. I'm already dreading setting up Monday's puzzle and a new theme.

As opposed to "far too hard" then? Good luck monday - remember you are starting a new theme, so the winner will run with it in whatever way they chose.

I take it you are a maths fan

I don't fan! To answer your question, no. I just wanted to find a different approach to the theme to make it a bit more interesting: I knew from elementary Math classes there are relations in sets so I googled for it. Probably ended up making it a tad more difficult, so I added the hint.

Like I said, I tried to look for the guy who did make the reflexive property known, but couldn't find him/her.

Thanks!

I'm gonna be the winner then too. (Evil Laugh).
