Have you tried chlorex mixed with sugar? It burns quite fast and produces a lot of smoke and gas, ninja style! (And of course, burning substances which release a lot of gas may be used to build something that the FBI would have you arrested for :-D) -- The holy inquisition finds you guilty of herecy, and you and your decendants must be cleansed in blood.

Try some pool chlorine and fertilizer mixed loosely into a 5 gal pail. Do not combine until out side away from trees and flammable shrubbery. For all of you who were wondering, DOT 4 brake fluid + clorox does not smoke, catch on fire, or do anything else remotely interesting. What a bummer.

I suspect that 20 years ago Scott's used ammonium nitrate like everyone else. Since the OK City bombing that's been awfully hard to get, now that the whole world knows that's what you use to make safety dynamite. Of course, I still have about 20 lbs of it I found in Mom's garage... Nothing better for a green lawn than a good double nitrate like that! Makes the whole yard as green as the spots above the septic tank.:-D
