          Yes I've not seen this style before where you have to solve half of the clue to give you the remainder or all of an anagram to give you the answer . Conventionally *to hogs* would be the anagram.

            Hmm, I thought I'd seen others recently that did this kind of thing, although maybe not for anagrams. I wasn't that happy with this one, but if I'd written pigs instead of hogs, you'd have solved it before it was posted!

                    I disagree. It seems to work just fine - I can't figure out the old style... and I can't figure out the new style! :sigh:
