As it says. Read it again. It works on my personal PC, but some time in the last week it stopped working on my work laptop (both Win 10).

Apparently a Windows 10 update has changed the behaviour of my File Explorer. For some reason, it now INSISTS on grouping everything in my Download folder and sorting it by date. No matter how often I change it to no sorting and sorted by filename, the way I've ALWAYS had it, and the way I prefer it, the next time I open the File Explorer, it's back to grouped again! Anybody know how to stop this? Cheers, Johnny J.

The most obvious answer is to stop using Windows 10.

Ditch windows explorer, and use Directory Opus from GPSoftware instead. You won’t regret it, especially if you remember if from the days of the Amiga

Quoted in full and read back multiple times. If you're referring to some other part of the thread, then I must simply have missed it. Not sure there's anything else I can contribute here.

And still you haven't seen what you're missing.
