CPP [time to pick project leaders]

What is happening here ? What have I missed ? I've co-incidentally been thinking about starting a defect tracking tool ( in J2EE, but that died, so I'm moving to ASP.NET ). If something is happening here I can be part of, that sounds cool. Note: I am interested in joining in, I'm not putting myself forward to *run* something. This is CP2 or Code Project Projects and idea that kind of caught everyone's fancy. Basically, its 3 collaborative projects with about 58 (counting you) volunteers so far. Actually, I'm sure half of those volunteers will drop out, so we'll be left with a manageble number of people across 3 projects. Read through the messages and if you would like to add anything, post it to my personal message board here at CP.

Roger has written alot of articles, and should be considered if he feels motivated. CodeProject House, Paul Watson wrote: ...and the roar of John Simmons own personal Nascar in the garage. Yikes! I do have a lot of relevent experience in the area, but I should be considered as a last resort. I do suffer from lack of time for extra-time projects outside of work, this is why my article pipeline is currently stalled (with about 5 pending/semi researched articles in it). I also have not really had any experience running a team having been a stand-alone programmer most of my career - until the last year, where I didn't want the management role as there can be too much sh!t to take care of. That said, if I did end up as the leader, I do have a semi-system worked out for it. Roger Allen Sonork 100.10016 Were you different as a kid?
