Thanks for the update; he's one of my heroes. My first bar gig included "Poisoning Pigeons in the Parks" and the "Irish Ballad." They remain favorites to this day. :-D
Will Rogers never met me.

Have loved him since the 70s. In the 80s found that a local theater company was presenting the musical "Tomfoolery," performing a number of his songs. Of course I attended. The one they did best was "I Hold Your Hand in Mine" and "The Hunting Song" was a close second.

Always a favorite. He's among the vinyl I ripped to MP3 and I have on my phone for daily enjoyment. My father took me to a showing of "Tomfoolery" in 1984. And I have my father's copy of "Too many songs by Tom Lehrer" (1981).

All his commercial recordings was released as a 3 CD set a few years ago. That is my only CD box with a hardcover booklet (or rather: book) of well above a hundred pages. You'll find several of the "unknown" (i.e. not on commercial records) on YouTube. Like "The Subway Song".

I think I have a two CD set from a few years back, but the original vinyl with its musty sleeves...
