Why is there any need, at all, to make personal comments about someone else on forums dedicated to software development and the sharing of knowledge. Stop the trolling, the "let's see how close I can push it" mentality, the "it's not my fault, it was him", and instead focus on contributing to an experience that is positive for the readers here.
cheers Chris Maunder

Don't know. Ask Eddy. My comment is a reaction after a day's worth of nonsense from him.

I don't do any of that.

Most of my time on here IS spent on that, in QA and forums.

If that is the bar, then most people need to be let go.

You are correct, Chris. However, it frustrates the hell out of me that others on the site don't get in trouble for the same behavior, let alone, a personal reply comment from you on the matter. Eddy started this, and he ended it. Let's not forget that. Since you guys banned me a while back I have behaved for the most part, and I toe the line in regards to your site and forum rules, but there is very much a double standard at this site regarding certain members and who gets in trouble and who does not for the same offenses.
First and foremost this is a site for software developers and our rules have always been to be respectful to one another. We absolutely will miss some of the fights, name calling and trolling. We may very well call out one person and miss another. But I'm not so much interested in who started it. I care about how people react. Don't reply. Don't get personal and then point to that other person and say "he started it". I'm not going to spend my days reading through threads and deciding who's actually at fault and who's a "victim". Everyone is responsible for their own actions. I ask, with the deepest respect for those who choose to share their time and their skills in helping other programmers, to know when to answer and to know when to let a message be. We don't need to have the last word. Let's please work to give everyone a positive experience.

 Brave. Not many brave conservatives exist on this site.

Sander you are not old, grumpy and passionate about the same subjects as the combatants. However if I bitched at you about your coding style/capabilities you might feel differently. The VB forum will miss Eddy.

I've had my run in with Zurdo as well. I can't even remember what he called me, but basically a child murderer and a sorry excuse for a human being, for being in favor of abortion legalization (this was back in The Soapbox days). I'm not easily offended, but he actually managed to offend me. I think that's the only time someone on the internet offended me and I've had run ins with actual nazi's who'd hack my computer and kill my family (no joke, some people are really toxic). Then I remembered he's just some asshole on the internet, so I flagged him for abuse and I've pretty much ignored him ever since (save for some exceptions). So many people, so many opinions, on whatever subject.

But why?
All I said was that vaccines have risk. In fact, all I did was quote the CDC website. I didn't even state an opinion. He then attacked me as an anti-vaxxer, Trump loving, religious zealot who denies science. Which none of that is true. He lost his mind. He's done it many times before. I'm not sure if he's very stable mentally. All of our posts are there, if I did something wrong I don't mind someone pointing it out with an explanation. He's behaved this way before with other conservative people. No discussion, just unfounded accusations.
