This came as a complete surprise to me, but as some of you know, I completed my first half-marathon just the other weekend. Last night I received an email with a link to the following page[^]. I was utterly blown away, mainly because I didn't even realize while I was running that someone was taking these pictures. I ordered the two of my sister and I finishing hand in hand. :-O Chris Meech "what makes CP different is the people and sense of community, things people will only discover if they join up and join in." Shouldnt you be running in ice skates? I mean you have the maple leaf on your chest, so where is it on your feet? ;) I was photographing the Two Oceans Marathon the other month and I was totally blown away by the other photographers. These guys are deadly serious. There was an actual Official Event Photographic Company. They then staked out at least 8 guys at the finish. All these guys did was take photos of every single person who crossed the line. And I mean every single person. I was at the finish for two hours and these 8 chaps just kept the triggers down. There was a girl whose job it was to bring them new batteries and new memory sticks. She would walk past the photographer would pop out the one memory stick and pop in the new one. She took that back to the media center, cleared it and then came back to the photographers. Also they have a system where every few kilometers there is a patch of road painted blue. If you run over it and you have this pink stripe on your number which indicates you want your picture taken then a photographer standing at the piece of road takes your shot. They then contact you after the race and ask if you want to buy it. Weird stuff. Cool shots btw, man I want a beard like that! *says Paul stroking his smooth chin* :-D

It was a great day weatherwise for the run though. About 16C, the sun shining and a gentle breeze coming off of Lake Ontario. Made for perfect running conditions. I think the company, Bright Room that took those shots, probably had a setup pretty similar to what you described. I guess as a participant, I just never really saw or noticed them at all. Come September, though I usually trim it back to within ½ inch of my face. My beard is fairly short, but I have to trim it even closer in summer to prevent heat stroke. In winter I let it grow, along with my hair, to protect against frost during the windy season.

Oh but you can do a lot better. Much Much Much better... The thing is you miss dedication to training. You run about 8,5 kilometers an hour... That just means your out of shape. Try to run 3 times a week and make up a training schedule. Start eating right, and you will loose some fat also. Read about running, give yourselves 3 months of real dedication to running and eating habbits. You'll be amazed how much progress you will have made. Hint. Buy yourselves a heart rate monitor. An essential training tool take care Filip
