Something I was worried about may not be such a worry, after all[^].

    Quote:

Of note was the vaccine's efficacy in South Africa, where the B.1.351 variant originated. Among the more dominant strains globally, the B.1.351 has shown the most reduction in vaccine efficacies both in Phase 3 trials and in labs. The Pfizer/BioNTech was 100% effective in preventing COVID-19 cases in South Africa, according to the companies. Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla said in a statement, "The high vaccine efficacy observed through up to six months following a second dose and against the variant prevalent in South Africa provides further confidence in our vaccine’s overall effectiveness.”

It had seemed, per various earlier reporting, that this wasn't going to be the ecase. Good luck to the Moderna test as the Mrs. had that vaccine.

    Ravings en masse^

That is fantastic news. Wouldn't you hate to be an AstraZeneca at the moment. Those guys just can't get a break. We, as software developers, need to educate them on how to reframe bugs as Design Features.

      cheers Chris Maunder

I had a discussion about that very issue today. They thought it was a bug but I explained that it was BBD : behavior by design. Yet another TLA for the collection.

"They have a consciousness, they have a life, they have a soul! Damn you! Let the rabbits wear glasses! Save our brothers! Can I get an amen?"

Even JoJo is now being affected by AZ. (well, human error - the least debuggable - but these guys are seriously cursed)
