What web hosting company would you recommend if the #1 requirement is security and reliability? I want a company where I don't have to worry about downtime, hacking or viruses. I would prefer that they run OpenBSD on their servers and have a top notch SysAdmin staff. If you know of such a company please post the url so I can research them. Thanks!

Most companies have some downtime. If you want a true 100% uptime company it costs a whole lot of $$$. I personally use hostrocket http://www.hostrocket.com they are reliable 99.97% uptime, and seem to have great tech support (My site has been hacked but it was my fault with my portal system and not unsecure servers). They have pretty good Storage and BW for the price. You can also check out a great forum at http://www.webhostingtalk.com where you can post exactly what you are looking for and companys will make offers on it. The more specific you are the better it works. Everyone there knows all about all kinds of hosting companies so it's a good place to ask this too.

http://www.csoft.net/index.html[^] I haven't used them, and their web design skills suck (hope that's because they're hardcore Unix geeks), but this the first link Google returned. Jeremy Falcon

I have personal knowledge of 3 projects that use pair networks for their ISP. They are great IMHO. http://www.pair.com[^] Don't let their simple web design fool you. Tim Smith I'm going to patent thought. I have yet to see any prior art.

We went with pair because I knew Tom was there. If they can handle Tom, they can handle anybody. And they are interested in the little sites too. Tim Smith I'm going to patent thought. I have yet to see any prior art.
