Any guesses on what they will name the first plane? I can only think of bad names, how about some positive ones? Sol

Henry. (After Cavendish, who first realised Hydrogen was an element.) But I'm old fashioned: I still think Airplanes should be made of metals / carbon rather than gasses...

Well, "Hindenburg" (German) could be read as "Dogs Castle" (English), so why not call the new plane the "Cat Shack"? :)

I think dogs would be hund..., guessing from Scandinavian cognates.

Then I'm sorry to inform you that according to Google Translate, hinde (German) is translated as dogs (English). I don't know anything about Scandinavian cognates (about the only words I know are smorgasbord and aquavit :) )

Google also translates hund as dog in German (plural Hunde). But this leaves that -n, which neither of us can explain. :-D
