That's odd. Their price for a 1 year DVD or CD is $1084 but their price on a two year is over $3000. Hmmm, who would be that stupid? I can buy it two years in a row for $2200 or I can buy it once for $3000 and get the same service... That is a great price!!! Rex Winn

That is a good price. If you wanted to, you can save a few dollars more by buying from eBay. They have some 'Buy Now' prices for $895.

Thanks for the info. They have mostly good/but some bad reviews i.e. oem versions of software/used, etc. With EBay not sure whether they are legal versions. Don't know if it's worth the risk.

The eBay versions are perfectly legal - buy from a reseller. I have experienced no problems with the license I bought via eBay.

Honestly, my advice goes like this. There are a lot of MSDN Universal vendors out there. But here we are posting on one vendor we know we can trust and be sure of. I am very low on coin right now (recently laid-off) but when I am back on my feet I will be renewing my Universal Subscription with Chris right here on CP. I trust this site, I trust Chris and I want to make a contribution to keeping CP here in the future. To me I feel a little self-conscious talking about dirt cheap subscriptions at WebX that does nothing for me when I spend at least an hour a day on CP getting help and learning and all the other benefits. My advice... Click on the link below, go to the Code Project store and pay the extra money to help support a resource that helps you. If you ask me it's an investment in your own future. https://secure.codeproject.com/store/order.asp?st=32551452[^] There my conscience is clear! Rex Winn

This is where I purchase my MSDN universal. They are legit, located in Milwaukee WI, and I have always been happy. I gave them a call to verify the price and the sales guy confirmed the price! I'm not sure why the 1 year full is now cheaper than the 1 yr extension, so I would go for it if I was you. The cost of a full 1 year use to be around $1900. They will send you a box with a form to fill out, then you will be able to download whatever you want from the Universal download area until the DVDs or CD start arriving. Kind regards, Tim
