I wrote a program to process a table with a business purpose: in my case, I used SAS programming language. this program read in this input table and does further manipulation. I am amazed by one thing/phenomena when I am doing testing: at this time, the table has no record(zero record) and all long program runs smoothly and the last result is, of course, zero record. what is the term is used to describe this phenomenon? bottom line principle?

Zero iteration loop? The table processing is likely controlled by a loop. Since input source is empty, no iterations are performed. Any aggregates/accumulators likely return NaN/undefined.
