    Visual Studio blog[^]:

We’ve heard feedback from developers asking for a markdown editor in Visual Studio. With the recent preview of Visual Studio 17.5, we’ve brought markdown editing to the IDE!

yeah, but which flavor of markdown is supported? I drives me nuts how everyone implements different ways of doing things like nested lists, what type of code is this code block, etc. Thus, I detest markdown. Syntax like double-space at the end of a line to insert a line break? Give me a break! Why we even have this "standard" is beyond me when there's decent HTML editors out there and at least HTML is more of a standard than markdown. X|
