.Net and/or SQL Certification - How to?

Hi The world of certification to me seems a bit overwhelming considering the number of companies out there whom offer gauranteed passes while been expensive. I havent the faintest idea who to go to the find out the step involved in getting a certification for .NET or SQL (preferably) without having to pay through my nose for the privelage. Can anyone please suggest to me a reputable company in the UK (London?) which I'll be able to do self-study and then write the exams somewhere. TA John

Hi John I am also looking for the same thing. No luck so far. Another option is to do the course via the books. Has anyone done this and can you suggest which are good. Many Thanks np
