Ah, you poor sod - I feel for you. :rose: Hope you get well soon - I found for a while after that even trying to think hard made my head hurt almost immediately as I needed more O2 and wasn't getting it. I went to bed and stayed there until it was over ...

Be careful and have a phone with someone fast dial near you (if you are alone at home). My older brother was too proud to ask for help when he got it and he lost around 20 kilos in 1 week (nothing in the fridge and not going / sending anyone to the grocery, besides of no energy to cook the few he had) and ended paying the highest price (he died while sleeping due to pulmonar embolism)

M.D.V. ;) If something has a solution... Why do we have to worry about?. If it has no solution... For what reason do we have to worry about? Help me to understand what I'm saying, and I'll explain it better to you Rating helpful answers is nice, but saying thanks can be even nicer.

Yeah, I think I got this from the Casino my wife and I play bingo at a few times a year (this last weekend). I'm just surprised that it took this long for me to get it. I can't taste anything, not even hot sauce. :sigh:

I have a pulse oximeter at home and have been watching my O2 levels. All above 97% so far. I think I will be fine, it is going to take time with this one. I have had all my vaccines and boosters. So, hopefully, no visits to the hospital.

Good luck to you both, hope it's not more than fatigue and minor complications.

I'm just getting over it. I had been symptomatic for a week before I tested positive. I thought it was just the usual seasonal allergy congestion, until my daughter called and said she was positive. She had been here to take me for cataract surgery. By the time all was said and done, I had infected four other family members. Fortunately they could take the antivirals and reduce the severity and time. I was infected too long for them to help. The great irony in all this is based on the timing, I was probably infected at the clinic where I had pre-surgery testing  .

I'll keep my fingers crossed. We all got it in January 2022 (even the babies 6 weeks old), we all got it relative light, my wife got hit at hardest but everyone was negative within 10 days and no sequels, at least not noticeable yet 1,5 years later.

Our father and his daughter got a hard hit. I was more angry than sad, because he could have avoided it, just swallowing his pride and stubbornness. At the end was his own decission.

Understand. My generation and probably your Father's have not faced this type of powerful infection and not tuned into the danger and I would be angry as well. Damn covid.

I had the Delta version and it took my sense of taste/smell for about a month. The only things I could really taste was salt and sour. You should try some lemon juice, I did and all I could taste was the sour but wouldn't have known it was lemon if I didn't look at it.

right now I can taste a slight hint of salty, sour, and sweet; it's less today then yesterday, but complete lack of smell and taste. I had a meeting with the doctor's office today via tele-medicine and they prescribed me Paxlovid and a cough suppressant. I have not gotten any worse that I can tell, but I am not getting any better. So, going to ride this out just like everyone else before me, and then buy the t-shirt when this is all done.
