Mr. The Codewitch wasted no time getting a new kitty after Izzy had to be euthanized. The new kitty is a yellow tabby with amber eyes, and she refuses to be left alone. We've already been through two names so far, so it's still TBD. In order to go the coffee shop we had to haul her along with. Luckily we have a backpack with a transparent plexiglass back on it specifically for hauling pets (cats - lets face it, dog people don't do this craziness - they use leashes) She took to the car just fine. Was more curious than anything. Crushed hearts at the cafe. And then it was on home. Kitty cried when hubby made himself eggs, because he wasn't paying attention to her. This one should be interesting. He said he wanted a cuddler :-\

I met a woman one time that had a cat on a leash. I asked her if the cat was comfortable with it and she said it loved it. Go figure?

I don't think before I open my mouth, I like to be as surprised a everyone else. PartsBin an Electronics Part Organizer - Release Version 1.1.0 JaxCoder.com Latest Article: Simon Says, A Child's Game

I think TBD is an excellent name for a cat. No need to rush anything! :-D

Hopefully jabbed and chipped? And fully weaned is always good - Dij was in the final stages and was always so overwhelmed with joy at being allowed free roam of the house and could sleep on the bed with us that he'd fart. And kitten farts have to be experienced to be believed ... it's amazing how something that small can emit such large, foul smells. X| She'll let you know what her name is when she's ready - Dij came to us from Cats Protection with the name "Dixie" which didn't fit at all. Very quickly it became obvious that he was a digital, binary cat: he was either ON (and doing a "Wall of Death" around the room) or OFF and you could have plucked his whiskers out and he wouldn't have woken up. So "Dij" is was! I hope you are going to teach TBD to code and open her a CP account? And post a piccy in the "where I am" forum?

Not big enough for that yet. She needs some more weight on her first.

(Assuming that TGD was a typo, TBD intended) I think that's a great proposal. Jazz people know the story of the old standard "Undecided" by Charles Shavers: Orignally an instrumental, no lyrics. First time it was performed, Shavers received a request from the guy creating the program notes, asking the titles of the numbers to be performed. Shavers answered "It is undecided". So the guy put "Undecided" into the program notes, and the title stuck. The lyrics, fitting the title quite well, came later (and was made hugely popular by Ella Fitzgerald, and later by numerous other singers). Then again, this would be a nice name for a dog that is supposed to listen to you, and come when you call for it. "TBD" has a commanding air to it, it will carry a long way. But with a cat, it has no such function. (Somewhat related: In a discussion about the name for a new mixed chorus, I suggested 'Satébe'. It was not chosen, but I was really surprised to find no other chorus who had taken that name.)

She eats twice her weight in wet cat food every sitting, and I still don't know where it goes.

Hollow legs. All cats have them.

Only two choices for a tabby cat make sense to me. Professor McGonagall or Cat. There is no in between.

Kittens will tell you their names. I had one that told me she was Snortimer (Monster under the Bed) and another one who told me he was Dusty. He hid under our stairs and came out looking like an overgrown dust bunny with a cute face, ears, four legs and a tail.
