Just did an MS update for Win10. Guess what is in my start menu? A link for Internet Explorer!   (It seems to briefly open IE, but that page gets closed and Edge gets opened.)

IE/Edge is the standard. Netscape isn't. Of course some people use chrome, just as some people use Linux. :-\

I was humorously referencing an article a few months ago that said MS was completely pulling IE from everyone's computers.

Interesting, I had Win10 update to a machine (mostly used for watching Amazon Prime, Disney etc. but have set it up to be a back up incase!) It wanted to do an update at power down chose update and shutdown, it didn't just got a pretty picture on it couldn't log on. Left it as had to leave this morning, due to moving at speed. I'm always late on Fridays.

Hope you got it worked out! A couple weeks ago my computer wouldn't complete an update. Ended up having to undo it (many times). Finally used some MS fix program from the command prompt and the update finally took hold. MS's quality is going down the drain it seems. :sigh:

Yup, had to reset the (on-board) graphics card, just plain slow, working the hard drive like a ***, but turned off properly now wait til it does a cold boot to see if the problem is cured (before the update it was really working the hard drive...)
