I am forever the critic. re/ visuals I appreciated the minimalistic almost b/w and uncluttered presentation. re/ singing voice eh id est I would not pay USA $ to hear her sing. re/ music also eh. addendum : the flames while an eye catching element made no logical sense to me.

I think to appreciate her singing you have to appreciate a certain style that was popularized in the US in the 1990s, by the likes of Kurt Cobain and others. Nirvana & St. Vincent - "Lithium" | 2014 Induction - YouTube[^] Imma be cheeky and say if she's good enough to keep the Nirvana boys happy, she's pretty good.

One becomes accustomed and more accepting upon multiple viewing. Always nice more or less to learn of new things even though the 1st thought which occurred to me upon immediate viewing was "depression". I have never listened to Nirvana though I have heard of Mr. Cobain. I read he killed himself as a consequence of such suffering. I will continue to bow at the feet of my home town band and their imitators. Chicago - 25 or 6 to 4 - 7/21/1970 - Tanglewood (Official) - YouTube[^] 25 or 6 to 4 – Chicago (Leonid & Friends сover) - YouTube[^] Then there is Yuja Wang. I am a mere mortal so can not speak further of she.

Quite hypnotic and so well put together. I'm not familiar with St. Vincent. I've seen a few videos in different genres that do that sort of just stick right thing. Couple of examples; some by Manic Street Preachers, couple by Rammstein, they just make you want to go back and watch them again.

St. Vincent is basically Annie Clark. She's a fabulous and underrated guitar player, probably because her songs don't emphasize guitar.

Last week a friend was asking for suggestions for tracks to play on his radio show. Given the close proximity of International Women's day and Mother's day (UK) to his show, he was asking for innovative and influential female artists. After hearing this track, I thought it might appeal to him, so suggested it. He came back with "Not familiar - will check it out" and an hour later "Yup, it's in".

Nice! She deserves all the play she gets. :)
