How much of your drive is wasted?

Okay, so I am setting up my PC from scratch today. I just got done installing the basic software. I have an 80 GB C: drive. IE Temp: 2442 MB Recycle Bin: 7.65 GB Offline Files: 7.65 GB Okay, so I have 80 Gig to play with, but sheesh! What kind of defaults are these? I bet IE would have a seizure trying to manage 2.x Gig of files. I don't even want offline files! I guess I should be glad I can turn them off/down.

Well, if you installed XP, I have a 80Gb disk, too. Look at the "System Restore" reserved space (9175 MB) :) Acting as a substitute for God, he becomes a dispenser of justice. - Alexandre Dumas

Good correction. :-) Mine as well. Actually I think IE is designed to run with FAT16 so that the whole structure can be loaded into RAM. :-) The sheer number of files you can accumulate in your temp folder, makes me wonder if NTFS actually helps with or without the Binary Tree. I've set mine at 32MB and I'm quite happy with it. One of my coworkers has it set to 2GB or so (!?), and IE takes noticeably longer to load on his machine than it does on mine. Well, duh...
