I'm currently evaluating iLogix' Rhapsody UML/C++ modeling tool and find I have mixed feelings. Has any of you used it? Liked it? Hated it? Found something better? Bernd

I evaluated several for where I work - Rhapsody, Rational Rose, WithClass, for example. They all left me with a feeling of indifference, and we ended up using Rose - which is OK, I suppose, but could do with (IMO) a dose of UI usability improvements. Having said that, we're using Rose 2000, so it might have got better since then. I've tried some others since then (free trials, etc), but haven't found anything that is ahead of the rest of the field. We have used Rhapsody on a major project... Believe me Rhapsody sucks in more ways than I ever thought possible... In fact the dev-team have nicknamed it "Crapsody", which is more appropriate...

Now you got me started... ;-) Thinkin about it, I would estimate that the >major project< mentioned would have been finished in half the time, and be less buggy, had it been implemented using traditional methods.

Can you elaborate? Also, which tool do you prefer to Rhapsody (not: pen & paper, please) TIA Bernd
