AI in action here in never-never land: 07:30AM (left pond): Power goes out. 11:30 AM: against my better judgement, I call FPL (power company). All responses from digital. Auto response: We are aware of an outage in your area, affecting 10 customers. The problem is a transformer, we are very sorry, blah, blah, etc. We estimate that the outage will be resolved by 1:15. Would you like us to send updates? Me (I will never learn): Sure. 4 trucks now on my street. 2:15: Still no power, no updates. Foolishly (I am an old fool), I call again. Same mumbo-jumbo but now "we have no estimate of the resolution time". Trucks are gone. 3:15. Power comes back on. Voicemails, text: 4:41: This is your update from FPO [sic], our resolution specialist is on the scene and determining the cause of the outage. 4:43: This is your update from FBI [sic], calling to confirm that power is now back on. The cause of the outage was: (different voice) "we are sorry, an application error has occurred. Goodbye". FBI? Hmmm. I suggested that they connect to CP and ask for some codez.

bad boy, very bad boy... as we didn't have already enough from those... :-D

M.D.V. ;) If something has a solution... Why do we have to worry about?. If it has no solution... For what reason do we have to worry about? Help me to understand what I'm saying, and I'll explain it better to you Rating helpful answers is nice, but saying thanks can be even nicer.

4:45: This is your update from FPL, calling to inform that the application error caused a wrong message to be sent to you. We apologize for that. We get to understand that the power has not yet been restored. The issue has been escalated to a higher level. Will be attended to shortly. Meanwhile, the reality is that power has already been restored.

That's an AI. I am a real person - breathing, eating, sleeping.
