Word to the Wordle

Can someone please fill me in? (You don't have to...I am just requesting :-)) Every so often I see a post in the Lounge, titled "Wordle ". What is that? Why is one posted each day (just out of curiosity) and what _is_ a Wordle, anyways?

Wordle is a web based game from the NY Times. You have 6 tries to guess a 5 letter word. The game tableau shows which letters in your guess are correct but in the wrong location and correct and in the correct location as well as indicating incorrect letters (by color). You can only play one puzzle per day. After success or failure you can save to your results to the clipboard to share. The results don't show your actual guesses, just which positions had a correct letters. Colors indicate correct or incorrect guesses and position. You can create a NYT account to track your stats over time. The wordle posts in the lounge are the shared results of various users each day.
