    The same way that transformers were transformative (sorry) for AI, we believe GitHub Copilot Extensions will ultimately deliver on the full promise of AI for developers.

    I would have put them a little lower on my hierarchy of needs

    Or I guess that's higher if we're going with Maslow's pyramid. Either way, the "don't need" pile for me. It's Monday, and I'm confused.

      I still haven't played with AI in the context of code generation very much at all. MSFT's thinking here is really good though. Models as plugins will definitely be a thing in lots of arenas. This does make me think though... Another/better thing I would be more interested in would be for them to use AI to "fuzz" the code in ways that don't make it so fuzzy as something like js min. Then open up web based collab where people who want to can 'summon the internet' for advice.
