Here's a very nice video about Gary Kildall which includes an interview of his best friend (& Employee #1 at Digital Research, Gary's company). PC software pioneer Gary Kildall's life and mysterious death at Monterey bar - YouTube[^] When I started in computing (1992 :-O ) I (ignorantly) thought it was Gates. But, Gary Kildall is the one who actually created the technology (PC OS, & BIOS) which moved the PC forward.
