Hehe, we're just pulling your leg. Haven't you read "The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy" books? If not, do it. They're hillarious :-D -- I am on fire. Do you need a light?

How is it that we can "hear" ourselves think? When we talk to ourselves, we are not making any actual "noise" Our ears, which obviously facilitate our sense of hearing, are not involved in this process at all. So when talking to one's self, how do we actually hear our own voice? Nick

Seriously, does anyone catch themselves having a self conversation...let's say while you are going to the bathroom at work...and during the middle of that converstation you realize you are talking to yourself, but you can't remember if you said anything out loud...and you worry about it, b/c if you did actually "voice" that conversation, the guy in the stall next to you might be offended? Nick

nicholas.gionfriddo wrote: does anyone catch themselves having a self conversation You're doing right now, aren't you? Generally, I leave it at stray comments here or there, and usually when I'm alone. Even then, I'll try pass it off like I'm talking to my cat. John Simmons / outlaw programmer wrote: If you're talking to yourself out loud Good point! But, honestly, you can't sit there and tell me that you've never talked to yourself. And when you have, had a time where you couldn't remember if you possibly let a few words slip out loud. And when I say out loud, I don't mean shouting it while standing on the top of the toilet, I mean actually vocalizing your thoughts Nick
