I have to write a paper over ethical codes for computer professionals. So far I have included IEEE and ACM and I'm thinking about NSPE. Anybody have suggestions on any ethical codes I should use other than these? Maybe links to discussions about IEEE or ACM? Thanks. Brad Jennings Northeast US vacation (Aug. 10)[^] - please give me suggestions.:)

You could have a look at the Australian Computer Society Code of Ethics[^]

Thats a cool topic for a paper. I am interested to know how common these ethical codes are. There might be a lot of people who actually value these. But are there organizations who maintain there own codes? Smitha You are never given a wish without also being given the power to make it true. You may have to work for it, however. -- Richard Bach

Cool, it's going to be kindof a short paper (~10 pages) but I'll post a link to it here in the lounge when I'm finished. I did a comparison a while back of the NZ Engineers Association and the NZ computer society (names?) The Engineers won hands down, in that they looked at protecting more then there own butts. Also through a bit of correspondence I discovered that the Computer Society had never taken disciplinary action against a member. Regardz Colin J Davies
