IE update?

i have just downloaded and tested the newest version of IE. It has the famous dialog box for accepting every ActiveX control in the page. it sucks. X| Have any of you seen it? here is the link http://msdn.microsoft.com/ieupdate/[^]. After that i was thinking if it is legal to write a program that just do de click for us. Just set a windows hook to see if there a window creation, test if it just has a static and a button (or something like that) and programmaticaly push the button.:confused: "I don't want to achieve immortality through my work... I heard a suggestion that Windows update itself might use this feature covered by the patent !! Regardz Colin J Davies

What, a control that downloads a manifest from Microsoft's website and compares it to what's installed? Nah, couldn't possibly :-D

My browser is set up to prompt me in any case. It's irritating at first, but you get used to it. At least I feel a percentage point safer when browsing. Woke up this morning...and got myself a blog

Just out of curiosity, how does this affect people in countries who (AFAIK) don't have this particular patent issue?
