I have a Kensington Turboball mouse and am looking to upgrade to a better, more ergonomic and easy on my carpal tunnel ridden hands. Does anyone have any suggestions for such a mouse (pointing device)? Any websites which recommends such devices would be greatly appreciated. TIA Jignesh

My absolute favorite is Logitech's "Trackman Marble" without the scroll wheel for the middle button. (The scroll-wheel button bugs me on the related model, because I can't rest my finger on it in a position that lets me push the middle button when I'd like.) If just a good trackball isn't enough, one of the guys I work with has taped a little cardboard ramp to his. This allows him to rest his hand on the mouse at the same angle as his arm. John

Microsoft have or are about to release a very sexy one in the same line as the ball less mice ( couldn't live without mine ). M$ make the best mice, period IMHO. And keyboards. I mocked the split ergonomic keyboard as a gimic until I found I had to use one. After two days of it I couldn't be without it. I use a normal one at home, because I don't want to lose the ability to use both, but this one has saved me a lot of arm pain. I was sore all the time until I got it. Christian #include "std_disclaimer.h" People who love sausage and respect the law should never watch either one being made. The things that come to those who wait are usually the things left by those who got there first.

Except that the arrangement of the functional keys sucks - what an asshole makes a split 5+7 when every other keyboard has 4+4+4?

I don't mind that so much. The changing around of the home/end/delete/insert/page up/page down is the bit that causes me hassles very night when I get home and start programming on a 'normal' keyboard. But it only takes a minute to get the hang of it again. I don't use the F keys enough to notice. Note that the newer versions of the natural keyboard have switched back to the original layout for those 6 keys, and for the arrows. After I spent all that time training myself with the new layout, they go and change it back...
