Not sure if this is the done thing, but would any of you pro CP'in's out there be willing to lend some cv advice, maybe even a seek peek at a cv or two? I am heading into the final few months of my honours year of a Bcs in HCS and the delightful task of finding employment beckons. I realise there are plenty of books, sites and other misc resources available, especially at university, but I’m really struggling to layout my programming skills and past project information & hons project. Lacking in industrial experience as I do (though I did work for 'uncle Bill' (Gates) for a year), I need to emphasise my interests and objectives, I guess. All advice would be greatly welcomed. tia Rob www.fuxup.com[^]

Something that I have found works well, and I think applies equally with a CV that has educational experience but not much work experience, is to look at the projects that you've done at school and think of something that you achieved that made you stand out from the crowd, and add those things to your education/technical knowledge writeup. I have a format that works well for me: Project One line description Detailed description of technologies used Project Achievements Under project achievements, there can be a variety of things--received top grade, delivered project early, implemented a new algorithm, things like that. Does that help? Marc Latest AAL Article My blog Join my forum!
