Need help with URL editing in IE
-
I just got a "new to me" PC at work and I'm moving in. I do not know how to setup IE to match my old PC. On my old PC, I could select single words in the address edit control with a single click (delimited by the :,/ chars ). This behavior works similarly in Explorer and the edit controls of other applications.
When I try selecting the URL address on the IE on my new PC, it only selects the whole URL.
Any suggestions?
Both PC are running XP and IE with all of the latest updates.
Thanks for your help - I never knew how much I've grown accustomed to this! :) Dale Thompson -

Dale, If you single click the url it does what you say - however a second sigle click will then just select the part of the url you want. Hope this helps ;) Jay

Hope this helps Jay Jay, This is what I would like to happen - but it doesn't. Clicking the URL only either selects the whole URL or just puts an I-beam cursor in the text. The single word click select doesn't work. Dale Thompson
