Has anyone used ADOMD to generate OLAP cubes??? I'm wanting the power of OLAP, but I also want to be able to filter the query that generates the cube....for example if the user only wants to see one of several categories, there is no way in a pivot table that I've found to limit the data unless the data is copied to someplace in an Excel spreedsheet and they filter it by hand...not exactly user friendly.... Ideas? Suggestions?? Previous struggles???

Couldn't you create a virtual cube of just the members you want to see?

I haven't seen anything about virtual cubes.....any suggestions where to look?? Does it allow the user to filter the query statement associated with this cube?
