Anyone here heard of that? Its a site that sells spam adresses & provides mailservers to spam. Nothing is new so far but here some of our local blogs are at war with this site (they received an offer for mail adresses & asked the readers to reply. this caused a return action, a mailbomb) so now they are trying to get this site down. here it's unreachable but I am curious can you guys still reach www.customerblast.com[^] ? (and I guess a little extra traffic can do no harm to a spam seller :) ) Regards Rutger (p.s. the sites at war are www.retecool.com [^] and www.bastard-inc.com[^] but they are all dutch (bastard's got the mail message that started it all)

Yes. It took a while to load even on ADSL.

No response from that site name, however going to the IP address (219.153.5.24) led to a site selling mobile phones, hosted by www.stealthost.com, which resolves to the same IP address. That site says "Stealth Hosting is a special type of hosting meant for people who want to promote their product or service on their web site by sending Commercial and Bulk Emails. " - clearly a spam site. Their internet connection seems a bit iffy - quite a few 'no response's near their end of this trace. From the names of the routers I think the site is probably in China. 15 144.232.9.163 sl-bb20-nyc-2-0.sprintlink.net 76 ms 16 144.232.13.9 sl-bb26-nyc-6-0.sprintlink.net 76 ms 17 144.232.20.95 sl-bb23-pen-12-0.sprintlink.net 81 ms 18 144.232.8.178 sl-bb22-pen-14-0.sprintlink.net 81 ms 19 144.232.18.94 sl-bb21-stk-10-3.sprintlink.net 142 ms 20 144.232.20.28 sl-bb21-hk-2-0.sprintlink.net 325 ms 21 203.222.38.38 sl-gw10-hk-14-0.sprintlink.net 325 ms 22 203.222.39.2 sla-cnatel-2-0.sprintlink.net 431 ms 23 No response 24 202.97.40.134 Unavailable 471 ms 25 No response 26 61.128.253.74 Unavailable 475 ms 27 No response 28 No response 29 219.153.5.24 Unavailable 462 ms

There's a lot of libraries and websites that can give you a country for a given IP address. I used this one and it said China. (I'm in no way affiliated with this particular IP to country site, just happened to be near the top of a Google search).

I, for one, do not think the problem was that the band was down. I think that the problem may have been that there was a Stonehenge monument on the stage that was in danger of being crushed by a dwarf.
