I am a ham -- my call sign is N0TXR. TXR is the acronym for "transciever," or so I heard. Anyway, I'm kind of embarrassed to say this, but I'm a no-code Tech... Why embarrassed? There should be no shame in any ham ticket. Oh, and BTW...I'm a no-code tech too. :-O Frank - N3NGU

Some encouragement is always nice :) Thank you. No-code tech is nice for if you have an interest in the hobby but you don't care about sending noises back and forth instead of just plain talking to people. I know Morse code had a wartime purpose, and it's very easy to make a circuit to just modulate/demodulate the carrier way, but it's kind of wimping out... Either way, I envy people who can learn Morse code. "I envy people who can learn Morse code" A vwery tenuous link but there was a short piece in the FT (Weekend section last weekend) about a jeweler making rings using morse (stud and "long" [whatever they are called] diamonds) to give the message. Al. ATL Student
