I kinda used up all my vacation... and then some... already. So i'm just taking Christmas off, and one day on either side of it.

You'd better turn back, before the frost sets in. These desert nights are for weathered men, The ones who've already given in...

In keeping with squeezing blood from a stone we close at lunchtime on Christmas eve. My friends back in the "Slowveld" couldn't believe it when I told them - they are mostly on holiday already . Worse still, it sounds like Brendan will only get off at around 4pm on Christmas eve. I wonder what the roads up to Scotland will be like at that time :~ .

At home the road deaths climb steeply at those times of year, but certainly nobody I work with here seems to have any concerns about travelling next week.

Not usually at Christmas, there may be a few traffic jams but they tend to be people heading to the airports and not heading out of town. Christmas holidays are very staggered, so you probably won't hit as much traffic as you would if it was a normal weekday. We'll see a rise in the number of drink/drive related accidents at this time of year, but that's usually on local roads not on motorways. Same here. I can't take any days off, but my brother is coming into town tonight for the weekend, so my Christmas will be extended to a week. :)

We re-located to the place that we spent the majority of our vacations at over the years so were sort of in a permanent state of vacation.
I support two teams: the Canucks and whoever is playing the Leafs!
That's one way to put it.. =)

Have fun with your TPS reports!;P :sips a tasty beverage while lounging in the hot tub reading code project from a wireless pda, gazing out over the river and sighing in contentment: (and if you don't believe the above I can post the picture!:-D)

We're on the west coast of Canada and it's been *extremely* windy and rainy here lately with one storm after another. The hot tub is outside and we rigged a cover for it, it's even more decadent sitting in it when the wind is howling and the rain coming down in buckets all around and your perfectly warm and comfortable.

It truly sounds fantastic dude :D I wish I has a hot tub like that.. :/ Uhh.. That would be so nice when you're freezing or the likes. Or if you just want a bath, maybe with a girl...
