I really wanna know how yo'r preparations for X'mas are coming along? Have you lighted the X'mas lamps, decorated the tree with gifts and charms, stocked a turkey, checked on the wine stock, got cakes ready and what else? Wishing you all a merry Christmas! :rose::rose::rose: Smitha Every person, all the events of your life, are there because you have drawn them there. Well, I've still got to buy a bunch of CD's and DVD's for my three daughters. Fortunately the four of us went on Saturday last and got a ton of stuff for my wife, so I'm all square there. Merry Christmas to you, Smitha. Chris Meech It's much easier to get rich telling people what they want to hear. Chistopher Duncan I can't help getting older, but I refuse to grow up. I'm prepped and ready for festivities to begin. :-D Presents are purchased and wrapped. I had a pre-Christmas on Friday evening with my family, because my brother was town. Phase II will be tomorrow night. Tomorrow people at work will bring in a variety of cakes and sweets for everyone to munch on through the morning. We'll leave work at 1PM, then I'll go to my parents house for some more food and drink. We normally eat Lobster for Christmas dinner. :licking lips: I do still need to pick out a bottle of wine, but that's hardly a chore. ;) :santa:

I have little to prepare - I can't afford presents, so shopping was easy. Tomorrow I'll pack up the truck with odds and ends needed for travel and begin a 700 mile drive to have dinner with family. I suspect we'll be having prime rib for dinner, instead of the traditional turkey, because my cousin's wife called to ask me how to make a horseradish sauce. I can't imagine anyone serving turkey with horseradish. X| The brightest spot in the entire Christmas thing for me will be in about 30 minutes, when I'll be having breakfast with my young friend, Laura. She just got her first Barbie doll last year and loves all things Barbie-related. I found a Barbie playset that I could afford (thanks to a flurry of PC viruses this week that I could fix) and that I think she's going to enjoy a lot. Sadly, this is probably the last Christmas that we'll be having together, as she's moving to a far away town in a couple of months.:(( "Some days you're the dog,

Just curious. Do you not like the holiday itself, or is it just a bad time of year for other reasons?

I was never frantic about X-mas (except maybe when I was a kid), but it didn't bother me. It does this year. So the correct answer would the second part of your question. You're so cute when you're frustrated. --from 'PDA' by Interpol

Preparations! You mean I have to prepare for Christmas. Luckily I'm going to my sisters for Christmas dinner this year, so that means I don't need to prepare anything. All presents are wrapped, most have already been dispatched to Santa Claus. The Christmas tree (well plastic 12inch green thing) is up and decorated as if there had been an explosion in a tinsel factory. Booze is cooling in the fridge, sausage rolls are in the cupboard and chocolate is .... well already eaten, I may need to buy some more but one of the presents under neath the tree feels like chocolate so I may not bother ;-) All I need know is my neighbour to stop swearing loud at her children and I can start my Christmas relax-athon. Merry Christmas to you Smitha. Michael Snow is lying on the ground, and in the air the sleigh bells sound, The frosted patterned window panes, it's British summer time again. Tree is up ( a 7 foot pine ) lighted ( 450 little bitty LED's ) and all the presents are wrapped and under it. My wife has put this fake snow crap all over everything and hung the balls and angels. I have some Myers Rum for the rum toddies, some good California red to go with the standing rib roast we will be having on Christmas day. Have several cakes and pies ready to pick up at the bakery (on the 23 ) and some fresh sourdough bread fixings percolating in the kitchen. Have a case of St. pauli Girl and a case of San Miguel in the garage icebox for the football games and all is well. Except that a certain client of ours is in town and wants to meet and discuss a project and the only time he has available is 2:00 PM on Christmas Freaking Eve. :( Richard "The man that hath not music in himself and is not moved with concord of sweet sounds is fit for treasons, stratagems and spoils; Let no man trust him." Tree is up ( a 7 foot pine ) lighted ( 450 little bitty LED's ) and all the presents are wrapped and under it. :( Richard "The man that hath not music in himself and is not moved with concord of sweet sounds is fit for treasons, stratagems and spoils; Let no man trust him." Richard, tell them to meet you in a bar. :) Since everybody's mind will be on Christmas anyways, you might as well enjoy the meeting somehow. :) Chris Meech It's much easier to get rich telling people what they want to hear. as usual I have put off buying presents till the last minute. I bought a lot of stuff online and had stuff sent to the various individuals yesterday and printed out the receipts to put in cards (yes im awful thx). I don't know why I put off getting gifts every year. My wife took care of most of the gifts and wrapped them (I knew I married her for something). flying back home to have Christmas with my family and looking forward to it. Going to eat too much, drink too much, then get a new years resolution to workout, which hopefully will last at least 2 months this year (as opposed to the 1 month it usually lasts). overll, looking forward to a good Christmas. Merry Christmas!
