Us oldsters from the relay mail days could probably list several thousand acronyms here that were in daily usage (every byte cost money/time etc to transfer by modem in those days and acronyms were used heavily). There was one that I was particularly fond of using and some may recognize it immediately if they hung out in those same relay mail bulletin boards; sadly we will probably never see it come back in these genteel days of the friendly, happy, smily internet: FYDITM The translation is definitely not lounge safe, but two of the words are mouth and directly. ;)
