I want to build a comp that is small, so I decided to work with MicroATX technology instead of Mini-iTX. I found some motherboards on eBay, with that uses thePpentium Socket 370, but has no sound, and one that uses AMD Sockect A, but has no video. The video on the Pentium board is only a 1MB dynamic VGA, but I don't need much in the way of video capabilities anyways. Since this is going to a MicroATX comp, I need to buy low-profile cards. And CPU is kind of an issue, because I'm an AMD fan, but not so much. Should I go with the one that has onboard video (Pentium) or the one with onboard sound (AMD)? I was just tryign to figure out if it's more worth it to look for a low profile sound card or a low-profile video card? It's only going to be a small server-like PC (there's no real need for video otherwise), so should I just go for the one with video and dish out for a decent sound card? Or would it somehow make more sense to look for the video instead? I understand it may seem like I'm really answering my own questions, but I might be wrong and I don't know. Maybe somebody here knows more about MicroATX than what I can find.

ummmmm why on earth would u need sound on a server? most servers i build (and use) have low-end video (1024x768 16bit color) and no sound so go for the video option :)

It's going to be an MP3 box, wirelessly networked and hooked up in my living room.

I built a MicroATX system using an ASRock K7VM2 motherboard. It has on-board video, sound and LAN.

Hmmm... the only thing is I don't need something quite that good. I definately don't need LAN because it'll be wifi. I unfortunately don't need DDR. I guess I really forgot to mention it's not going to be high-end. But I've finally decided I'm going for this one I found that has both video and sound on it.
