Crap. That's not cool. There goes a few billion...and an excellent opportunity to gather data.
When I can talk about 64 bit processors and attract girls with my computer not my car, I'll come out of the closet. Until that time...I'm like "What's the ENTER key?" -Hockey on being a geek

 I hope that's meant as a joke. Blaming this on Java would be like blaming C++ for NT's BSOD. Regards, Alvaro
"I do" is both the shortest and the longest sentence in the English language.

Yes, and not just a geek site, a Java-sucks-ass/C++-is-king-and-.NET-is-cool geek site. :-) On a more serious note, I was wondering when those little Martian moles were gonna come out and cause havoc. Regards, Alvaro

NASA should have known that the Martians don't like others snooping on them :-)

They stumbled on data the confirms there is life on other planets and the President and the CIA being the assholes they are don't want to public to get wind of it so they are making NASA *claim* the rover died. Just think what would happen if they found life on mars? What would that mean for creationists and all the bible thumping whackos in the Bush administration????? Oh yeah, and gree martians probably had something to do with it...:~

I guess, that's possible. But if true, the ability to cover up this kind of info can't happen forever. BTW: How do we know that Martians are Green ? Regardz Colin J Davies

Well, down under we heard that it had sent a few more pictures - I wonder if it was before or after your post.. There have been severe electrical storms 'down-under', in the specific region where the Tidbinbilla deep space tracking station is (DSS-34, DSS-43, DSS45, DSS-46) which relays the commands from NASA to the beastie) ... (I dont know about DSS-49 out at Parkes, quite a bit west of here ...) If you follow http://www.cdscc.nasa.gov/Pages/pg02_antennas.html[^] you'll see a lot of your tracking is being provided by us humble Aussies ;-) 'G'
