As any fool knows, computer companies dish up what can only be called 'food' for want of any other non-bio-hazardous description. In fact, I'm sure we're all subject to secret testing by George 'chop down a' Bush and his many demonic helpers. The worst food of all time was served up at the Digital Equipment Corporation in Nashua NH in 1993/1994. Cardboard burgers with paper salad. DEC was later swallowed by COMPAQ, currently suffering from severe indigestion. :(( Any other horror stories? Old Simon HB9DRV

Most of corporate cafeterias I've eaten at have been ok, but nothing to write home about. My main "beefs" with company cafeterias are that the food in the company subsidized cafeteria is more expensive than the diner down the street and executives having a separate dining area with better food and real silverware. I wonder if they realize how much resentment that little perk generates.

My company has a Chic-Fil-a, Sbarro, Blimpie, and other fun stuff to eat. Too bad it is about a .5 mile walk from my building to the building with the food. Lunch is 30 minutes long, you know! ---- Xian

I can't agree. I once worked at a company where they had two chefs: a danish and an italian cook, preparing gourmet meals three times a day! Besides that there where of course always all kinds of snacks, fruit, candy, cakes and bevearages. Do I have to mention that I gained some weight in the two years I worked there :-O Luckily, I left before they got the soft-ice machine. A friend of mine works at a place where they have free draught beer in the canteen.

Hey Christian, I'm visiting major customers in Denmark very soon - big pharmaceutical and big bank and big maker of maps. Give me a clue where this fine gourmet burger bar is, please! ;P Old Simon HB9DRV

Hi Simon, The place I was talking about is unfortunately a employee-only canteen. But if you're going to Copenhagen and you're into burgers, I can definitely recommend 'Øagers' on Vesterbrogade. It looks kinda trashy, but this guy makes a *really* decent burger, He's actually preparing the meat for the hamburger while you're watching. I can especially recommend a "Øager doubble" with 600 g. of fresh meat, cheese and bacon. Can't talk, must eat... Christian Skovdal Andersen
