I explained you point by point where the problem is and how it occurred. Despite of it, you repeat your ideas about pointers. It is rather ridiculous, because I have the source code, generated asm file and result of disassembling of exe file (which can be compared with the asm file, generated by compiler). Finally, I can (and I did) run my exe file under debugger. You have no such options at all. Under such circumstances it is very strange idea to try to explain me not what actually happened, but what might happen!

Thanks for tips. I think, that such class will slow my prog. As I wrote, I tried to allocate large memory block and only after it create CFileDialog. But even if I can preserve large memory block for my own use, I'll loose some volume of memory anyway- all shit that CFileDialog loads in my address space will stay there even after CFileDialog will have been destructed. I prefer to keep my address space clean. One way is for example to change base addresses for my libraries like FreeImage.dll, jpeglib.dll and so on- there is such useful utility named Rebase.exe. On the other hand, I'm really short of memory and this is why I prefer do not load all unnecessary libraries into address space. What I did- another separated process- gave me what I wanted. I cannot change base addresses of system libraries- it may help only if my prog runs at my own comp. There are many useful things, which can be implemented, but now the main problem for me is effectiveness of algorithms which I use.

Situation is worse, than I expected. Some malicious code is running at my comp. For the beginning, my Visual Studio 2005 refused to create the Project Property window and gave me something like "failed to create Net. Framework property grid". Trying to understand, why my prog refuses to open files, which it was able to open some days ago I found that in my process's address space was downloaded libraries like urlmon.dll, netapi.dll, crypt32.dll and modemInst.dll (!!!). People, I write prog which is intended to work with aerial images and I have no intention to counteract with the Net. The most interesting is the last library- it was taken not from system32 catalog, but from folder where HSPA USB Modem was placed.

I wouldn't say so: procedure works correctly. It is only inefficient realization, no more. I met a real bug in VS 6.0, but now it is of no use to speak about such ancient soft. Sometimes VS2005 asks me for confirmation, when I try to close prog, currently running under debugger, but it happens probably due to old age of my particulat exemplar.
