Really easy Make a Web service with a method that accepts a dataset and any other parameter that you need like client id... The dataset should contain the whole datatabase or any info you need (i hope you are not trying to send to many records) Once you have the dataset in the server side, you can just save those changes in the database in the server as you would with any other dataset Im asumming you know how to make a webservice and i hope you do :-) Alexei Rodriguez

If I'm guessing right, you most probably have a buggy code that inserts/updates (or) the folder in which the database file (.mdf) is located is readonly. If your database file is located in someplace other than the default SQL Server installation path, check the folder and file permissions. This is a common issue in using the Express edition in ASP.NET for user management. So maybe you're stuck somewhere similar. SG

Well thanks for your suggestion. I tried it and its still not working. Insert and update statement do not work on the database cope in the debug directory too. The select statement works if i populate the database manually. I create insert and update commands to no success. I will appreciate anymore sugestions. Thanks Nana

If you include the reference to Word in the project, all your project will generate is an interop file for Word. You won't need a license for that. To be able to use Word on a target installation machine, the machine must have Word already installed. So I don't think you will have any licencing issue. Also, I don't think your operations on Word (in the application) will work if the target machine does not have MS Word already installed. There has to be more to life than just this

You should use a manual approach if performance is important and the text is simple (limited formatting). If low maintenance or high reliability is important, use the RichTextBox. There is no point in writing code already provided by Windows - you will simply have more code to introduce bugs into.
