Hi, i have seen that a similar question to this was asked before, but the answer was just use a textbox. i am trying to create a xchat / linkinus style conversation window. i have tried using a rich text box, but it just doesnt give me the level of control over rendering i need. Is there a way i could have a custom control, that still has ability to select text. i have also looked at the WebBrowser control but it seems to rely on IE, which has two problems, 1. overhead, 2. cross platform. ( i have found a custom html render, but it doesnt have selectable text. http://www.bruceshankle.com/_mgxroot/page_10764.html[^] is it possible to give this control this ablilty? ) Thanks in advance. robot controller boardsok wasnt to sure if this was for mobile development or hardware, but anyway im looking for a robot controller board that will store and run a program that is written in c++ or assembly code, but it must also have a capacity to store data and handle inputs and outputs so has anyone seen or heard of anything that can do this, i have looked at various ones like lego mindstorms and serializer but these have proven to primative or require a constant connection so if anyone knows of anything thats affordable <£400 Lloyd

Vista security flaws - somethings starting to smellyou don't need a 3D card, but to use aero you do, just with linux the better graphics u have in your computer, the better experience you should have BUT i remeber Windows XP's Release when i was 12 and it was excatly the same hype and all the same security worries. The problem is Microsoft is a massive compant wiht alot of enemies, and they their products are better than linux, they introduce standards and a sense of reliablity, with linux you get a mix of kernels, software, and its a mess, theres sooo many different packages and standards at least with windows u install any version and you will find your way around, and yes there are updates and problems all software has problems, it is impossible to have 60 or 70 million lines of code working perfectly all the time, with billions of different types of configuration, hardware and software. Microsoft good, and its here to stay! i reckon most home users will be using vista by 2008, but for businesses i reckon they will stick with 2000 as many have
