  • How to retrieve the usage of CPU and Memory?
    A alexdboy

I want to retrieve the usage of CPU and Memory of certain process as well as the whole system on Windows 2000 just as the task manager does. I am not sure whether my problem has been solved by others on code project, but after a long search without answer I decide to publish it here. Your direct answer or a useful link will be highly appreciated. Thank you very much. History became legend. Legend became myth.

  • how to retrieve the list of installed programs
    A alexdboy

:sigh:We need to retrieve the names of the installed programs on the win2000 pro OS and the whole pathes of the corresponding executive files as well. It is very like what the "open with" dialog does and it would be great if our list is the same as the one which the dialog offers. I know our work should do something with the reg, but after a disturbing examining on it, I still can't find out a general solution. When I think I got the rule, there would be a exception. Please give me some advices, every single word of your answer will be appreciated. Much thanks. learning to program
