Not really. I wasn't always a IE fan. Back in the days when IE6 was the only option MS had to offer, I started looking for better browsers like FF. It was fine, however I didn't like the way it displayed certain web pages I was oftenly used. Then IE7 came along with the new accelerator and web slice features, the favourites bar which was more practical then what FF had to offer. What can I say, love at 1st site. Not long after IE7, safary came along. Very nice, it was faster than FF but it was difficult to add the 2nd tab, plus i had the same problem when displaying webpages. Whan Google announced Chrome, I was very excited. When the release date came, I was one of those guys that was pressing F5 every 2min to see if the download became available. My 1st impression was "cute" very fast, very lighweight. Then I went to options and saw the mozila behind it. It was definetly better, but still some pages(less than FF and safari) failed to appear properly. IE8 was nice, more secure than IE7 but not many noticeable improvements. Finally IE9 is just what I was waiting for. It suits my needs, it's fast as the others(though I never minded waiting 1 more second for the web page to display) and it has some new features that I can't wait to use. P.S. let's not forget, FF is corporate ready for at least 1 year now and the percentage of FF users is the same

IE9 --- Thumbs down after 60 seconds -
IE9 --- Thumbs down after 60 secondsFirst of all, you are right, I don't know if you are pathetic/don't care(don't feal insulted, it was not my intention to make you sad). Nevertheless your original post surely is... Mainly due to the fact that you are clearly not interested in the product(IE9) and it is your intention to make it look bad by expressing a lame inconvenience, which... if you stop and think about, it's logical. IE9 is integrated with windows 7 therefore certain features will only be available after a restart. I really belive the main reason for the recommended restart is the fact that IE9 runs better on some PC configurations with the GPU acceleration feature turned off. This means that an assesment of the system is required and a restart is needed(it would be lame for IE9 to try and asses the PC every time one tries to access the web, not to mention time consuming). Another reason might be the integration with the taskbar. Second, expect people to answer more agresively when you don't really have a reason to complain.(this insults me, not F words or crap like that) Third(the main reason for my reply) don't tell me that I'm pathetic for using U instead of you and then writing IE9, or posting emoticons to express your opinon, it's just wrong... Finally, I would like to address "OriginalGriff". You are partially right, reviews don't lie, but they favour certain subjects. Good day

IE9 --- Thumbs down after 60 secondsU Chrome and FF fans, don't really like change, do u(or feel threatened by it)? Instead of admiting that ie9 is a great browser, very intuitive and easy to use, it has great features that non of the other browsers have. Pls. don't make stupid remarks(no auto-restart on setup completion). It prooves u are pathetic. The reviews don't lie. IE9 is here to stay and it's great.
