There is an option "Unload database when inactive" on the General tab in the options. Clear that, and you shouldn't have the big delay. I have been using Everything for a while now and never looked back. I especially like that searches are instantaneous, filtering the results as fast as I can type (on a somewhat decent CPU).

Last week I attempted to buy some milk from a supermarket chain and was told, "sorry, I can't sell you this milk because it is passed its use-by date." A look at the date on the bottle revealed it still had 3 days left before it would expire. After pointing this out to the cashier, she scanned it again and told me the same thing. It took 10 minutes to find someone in the store who would over-ride the system and sell me the milk! I guess even the greatest new technology (it's a good idea, in theory) is still only as good as the humans using it.

They say it's 'voluntary' but nobody seems to have pointed out what is going to happen when SP1 is released.. you can't pick and choose what gets installed during a SP upgrade! As soon as they realise that everyone is choosing not to install this update they will release a 'critical' service pack and then everyone will be forced to install it. Bah X|
